Ginger Liqueur
Filed Under Cooking | Leave a Comment

Ingredients
- 200ml vodka
- caster or granulated sugar
- fresh root ginger
You will also need a 275ml glass bottle to store the liqueur in. I used an empty lemon juice bottle.
Method
- Peel, rinse then dice the ginger.
- Put vodka and ginger in a glass jug and bruise the ginger with the back of a spoon.
- Gradually add sugar until the liquid is saturated (no more will dissolve).
- Using a funnel, transfer to a glass bottle and seal. Leave to sit in a cool, dark place for for at least a week before drinking. You might want to make a label for your liqueur.
This liqueur is best served neat, or with lemonade.
